Cyrus exists because I got tired of choosing between burning money on staff who copy-paste the same answers, or losing customers to a chatbot that sounds like a robot.

04 / THE BACKSTORY

Started from a real problem, not a pitch deck.

I'm Shaun. I run a digital agency in Selangor, Malaysia — web design, branding, digital marketing for SMBs. For years, every client project ended the same way: “The website looks great, but can it also answer messages while we're closed?”

I tried every tool. Tidio, ManyChat, respond.io, WATI, Chatbase. They all had the same problem: either they were flow-based toys that broke on the first off-script question, or they were enterprise platforms priced at $300+/seat/month.

What my clients needed was something in between — smart enough to handle real conversations, affordable enough for a 5-person business, and deployable on the channels their customers actually use (WhatsApp, not email).

So I built it. Started in 2024. First client was a food consultancy in Selangor. The agent tripled their consultation bookings in the first month. That's when I knew this was a product, not a side project.
